Our History

The Firm was founded by the brothers Harris & Michael Thrassou in 1969 and it started off as an Architectural and Civil Engineering Consultancy Firm. In the early years, the operations of Thrassou Bros centered primarily on these two functions and by the middle of the 1980s the Firm's quality of services and professional attitude, established it as one of the largest and most reputable Consultancies in Cyprus. The same period also saw a diversification of the services offered to include Project Management and other Business-Oriented Construction Consulting Services.

The 1990s saw also the addition of the Chief Engineer, Mr Akis Karamichalis, as a Partner, with Dr. Alkis Thrassou becoming the fourth Partner in 2004. At the same time, Mr. Harris Thrassou, left the Firm to become the Republic of Cyprus Government's Minister of Transport, Communications and Works. He returned a few years later as the Managing Director of the Firm.

Thrassou Bros & Associates is currently an acknowledged leader in construction consulting in Cyprus, with one of the most impressive portfolios of both Clients and Projects. The second decade of the century has seen a shift of focus and specialisation towards larger Projects, and a structure, knowledge and understanding of the corporate Clients and their needs.
